The Greater Love Ministries, Inc., is a non-profit and tax-exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Code (IRS) Section 501(c) (3). This entity is a non-profit organization and separate entity of Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church which is located in San Antonio, Texas.

 

The Certificate of Formation was granted by the Texas Secretary of State on January 5, 2009.  The agency has been in operation as a non-profit operating a Food Bank ongoing since its inception. It has also served to meet the needs of the homeless, families, youth and senior citizens.

 

The purpose of the Greater Love Ministries, Inc. is to assess and be cognizant of the needs of the surrounding community and work tirelessly to provide services and programs that engage, youth, families and adults to improve the overall quality of life for all community stakeholders.

 

Greater Love Ministries. Inc. was also awarded a grant from the March of Dimes in 2011 to implement the Honey Child Program in 2010. The grant was utilized to provide educational classes to expecting mothers on the importance of pre-natal care to the unborn child.  Participants also received items such as car seats and other items to assist the expecting parent with the cost of needed items.

 

Greater Love Ministries, Inc. has also provided scholarships to disadvantaged high school seniors each year to help defray some of the cost of tuition and books. This effort is continual and ongoing.

 

The Greater Love Ministries, Inc. is currently focused on the planning and preparation to construct the Greater Love Multi-Generational Center. The Multi-Generational Center will offer a menu of service needs which will include an on-site Pre-K Program, After School Programming, Senior Day Care Program, Adult Educational Programs, Job Training and Referrals, Life Skills and Second Chance Re-entry Services.  All programs will be self-sustaining.
